Last night’s Raw from Greensboro saw the shocking return of Brock Lesnar. The 10-time WWE World Champion answered the Oba Femi Open Challenge to a thunderous roar from the North Carolina crowd. Brock Lesnar’s Raw return was his first appearance since his apparent retirement at WrestleMania 42 Sunday. WWE even ran a tribute package to The Beast Incarnate’s career the following night. Now, Paul Heyman is adamant that Brock Lesnar remains retired, despite attacking Oba Femi in North Carolina. Here’s the latest on Brock Lesnar’s Clash In Italy plans.
Brock Lesnar Answers the Oba Femi Open Challenge
The Oba Femi Open Challenge seemed like a good idea to The Ruler. However, the WWE locker room begs to differ. So far, Otis is the only WWE Superstar to step up to Oba Femi. Unfortunately for the Master of the Catepillar, Otis was laid out in impressive fashion by The Ruler.
Last week, Adam Pearce forced both members of Los Garza to challenge Oba Femi. The cousins gave it a solid try, even against their will. Yet, they both fell victim to the Nigerian powerhouse.
This week, the world speculated who would answer the call to face Oba Femi. With the North Carolina crowd firmly chanting his name, the former NXT Champion stepped into the spotlight for his signature pose.
As he was basking in the crowd’s adulation, Oba Femi was attacked from behind with a clubbing blow from a massive attacker. We’d soon find out that man was a returning Brock Lesnar!
Oba Femi Receives 4 F5s from Brock Lesnar
Brock Lensar’s return shocked the WWE Universe in Greensboro. After all, he left his gloves and shoes in the ring after a shockingly one-sided loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42.
Nonetheless, The Beast had something to prove. After Brock rocked the beaded necklace off Oba’s head with a shot from behind, The Conquerer lifted The Ruler up for what would be one of four F5s!
Brock Lesnar Rips His Pants
In what seems to be a running theme in this new chapter of Brock Lesnar’s career, The Beast Incarnate ripped his jeans. During his attack on Oba Femi, the back of his pants exploded open!
After Brock completed the fourth F5, he sat next to his victim, taking in the damage. When Brock got up, the whole world saw that his jean bottoms were hanging on for dear life.
This is the second Brock Lesnar wardrobe malfunction in a year. Brock Lesnar blew out a pair of pants during an episode of SmackDown in September 2025.
The Beast gave R-Truth an F5 during his build to Wrestlepalooza against John Cena. Brock’s jean explosion went viral at the time. Now, he’ll make newsfeeds again as Brock Lesnar’s jeans ripped once more, as he decimated Oba Femi on Raw.
Paul Heyman: Brock Lesnar Remains Retired
Brock Lesnar’s supposed retirement allegedly sent shockwaves across storylines and backstage. While WWE anticipated Brock Lesnar’s retirement in 2026, his seemingly calling an audible at WrestleMania 42 threw a wrench in those plans.
Nonetheless, WWE carried forward with the idea that Brock Lesnar had retired. Leaning into this narrative, WWE followed up on Brock’s retirement after his return on Raw.
Adam Pearce spoke to Brock Lesnar’s Advocate, Paul Heyman, in his office. During their conversation, Paul Heyman insisted that Brock Lesnar remains retired:
Adam Pearce: “I filed retirement paperwork on his behalf. What the hell is going on?”
Paul Heyman: “Brock Lesnar is retired.”
Adam Pearce: “What just happened out there? Retired? Start talking.”
Paul Heyman: (Pulls paperwork out of his jacket) “I’m about to make your entire career. That’s for you.”
Adam Pearce: What a subpoena? I don’t need that.”
Paul Heyman: “No, it’s not a subpoena. It’s a contract for Clash in Italy with Brock Lesnar’s signature already on it. You get Oba Femi to sign that, you have the biggest rematch in history.”
While it’s not official yet, it seems to be a given that Brock Lesnar is “coming out of retirement.” He is now expected to face Oba Femi at Clash In Italy.
Did Brock Lesnar Really Retire?
Although Brock Lesnar remains retired in storyline until Oba Femi signs the Clash In Italy contract, one has to wonder. Was Brock Lesnar really retired at all?
There’s a lot of speculation around Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract. For instance, he didn’t want to lose before his retirement, yet still did a job for Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42.
Many believe that the original plans are back on. Brock Lesnar will have his final match in Minneapolis at SummerSlam.
Reports indicate that WWE Creative were angling for Gunther to retire Brock Lesnar at The Biggest Party of the Summer. That said, if Brock Lesnar evens the record against Oba Femi at Clash In Italy, then the final match might get booked at SummerSlam.
Regardless, Oba Femi looks to have a busy summer ahead. He is prominently featured on the WWE Summer Tour promotional materials, as WWE brings back House Shows this season.
