The final day of TransRockies’ first Singltrack 3 dove deep into the stunning trails of Fernie Mountain Park. Weaving between old growth trees big enough to make even Peter Disera’s quads look small, the grand finale was a stunning showcase of what Fernie has to offer.
Sweet singletrack served up some shake-ups in the finishing order, but couldn’t shake Disera or Chloe Cross out of the top of the Open/Pro standings. Looking across categories, though, and Singletrack 3 looked like a hint at the next generation of young talent to emerge from both sides of the Rockies.
Peter Disera holds off the youth and a Kiwi for ST3 title
Peter Disera takes the final stage win of the inaugural Fernie Singletrack 3 and, with three wins in three days, the overall title.
Hugh McDougall wins the U20 men’s GC, finishing second overall on the final day of racing. Connor Duell of Lethbridge finished third overall behind him.

Ben Friel of New Zealand finished fourth on the stage but places second overall on the Open/Pro men’s podium after three days of racing. Harrison Zanin of Calgary takes the final overall spot.

Women: Chloe Cross closes out women race while Morrison holds on to U20 title
Chloe Cross of Whistler takes the women’s win with consistent riding all week. Amanda Felder of Sedona, Ari. finishes second on the final stage. But it’s Kalispell, Montana’s Amber Steed that takes second overall.

Aida Morrison holds on to win the U20 women’s overall after setting the fastest women’s times the first two days. Alina Custodio of Calgary takes the U23 women’s stage win on day three, holding her in second overall in that category.

The youth show speed in the East Kootenays
Morrison’s Peak Pursuit teammates 16-year-olds Sophie Erfle and Emerson Erfle of Calgary and, presumably, siblings, shone in the short course Prospectors race, posting the fastest Prospector women’s times all week.
Similarly showing that the youth have speed, 14-year-old North Van racer Monty Cormack had the fastest Prospector men’s times two of three days to win that overall race.
Full results from the 2026 Fernie Singletrack 3 are on Zone4.ca. With many of Fernie’s vast library of singletrack left untouched by these three days of racing, Singletrack 3 will have many years to return and explore before exhausting what this mountain town has on tap.
