- Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody coming to ATS

American Truck Simulator developer SCS Software has teased another car coming to the game’s much-anticipated Road Trip mode.
The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody will feature in the already revealed ‘RAM & Dodge Car Pack’ DLC, which boasts the RAM 1500 pickup truck, plus Dodge’s instantly recognisable Charger, Challenger and Viper models.
The Hellcat has a fearsome supercharged 6.2-litre Hemi V8 under the bonnet, mated to either an eight-speed auto transmission or a six-speed Tremec manual ‘box. It has all the comforts of a modern sports car but with the added muscle of over 700 bhp.
Dodge’s insane creation can accelerate to 60 mph in a little over three seconds and tops out at close to 200 mph. Not bad for a five-seater saloon.
No indication of a release date has been given for Road Trip mode or its corresponding DLC packs (including the ‘Ford Car Pack DLC’), but what we can say is that the driver model in the latest batch of screenshots looks a bit like Vin Diesel.
Given Dom Torretto’s predilection for the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, this feels quite appropriate…
