DTM’s Esports competition returns for 2026 with public ranked splits and €75k prize pool

The DTM is once again showcasing its sim racing ties with an official Esports competition using RaceRoom.

However, there is a significant change for 2026. Unlike past seasons, where qualification came through a leaderboard competition followed by some shoot-out races, now it will use RaceRoom’s native ranked multiplayer system. It means that the competition is open to all with RaceRoom and the DTM GT3 cars.

Previously, once the shoot-outs were complete, the lineup for the season was complete, but that’s no longer the case. There will be multiple splits, like a special event, for each round, and drivers will be placed into each split based on their current RaceRoom ranking.

Each race will be broadcast live in both German and English, across DTM, RaceRoom and Traxion YouTube channels. The total prize pool for this season will be worth €75,000.

There will be five online rounds (each a one-hour race), starting on 30th May 2026, before a live on-site in-person finale later in the year.
