With the pre-season training starting in a few weeks’ time, we are excited to start introducing some new faces at Blackheath Rugby, starting with second row Ehize Ehizode.
Telling us about Ehize, who joins us from Doncaster, Blackheath Rugby’s Head Coach Tom Stradwick says “We’re delighted to welcome Ehize Ehizode to Blackheath for the upcoming season. A powerful second row, Ehize brings physicality, lineout presence and a real edge in contact that will strengthen our pack.” Ehize is looking forward to joining Blackheath, and says “The success of the team last season was great to follow, and to see them do well in the play offs. I’m excited to continue that momentum and add value to the Club!”.
On the new signing, Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director, says “Ehize joins us with plenty of Champ experience and will hopefully give us even more options in the pack. He’s a strong physical runner in the loose and we are delighted to see what he can do for us this season. Ehize is keen to join Club and is looking at making a successful move from full-time pro rugby to semi-pro rugby and full time work.”
