Former WWE wrestler & NWA world champion Trevor Murdoch retires

After a 27-year, Hall of Fame-worthy career, two-time NWA Worlds Champion Trevor Murdoch announced his retirement on today’s π™‰π™’π˜Ό π™‹π™Šπ™’π™€π™π™π™ on Comet. The news shocked the National Wrestling Alliance and pro wrestling community at large.

Though twice holding β€œThe Ten Pounds of Gold” remains his crowning achievement, Murdoch is also a former NWA National Champion, NWA World Tag Team Champion, and winner of the 2023 Crockett Cup with partner Mike Knox. Trained by legendary former multi-time NWA Worlds Champion Harley Race, Murdoch made his in-ring debut in 1999.

For the last seven years, Murdoch has ruled over π™‰π™’π˜Ό π™‹π™Šπ™’π™€π™π™π™, which this week made its national broadcast television premiere on Comet TV. The mark of Murdoch’s reign atop the National Wrestling Alliance will be felt for years to come.
