Giannis Antetokounmpo has not engaged in any meaningful discussions with the Milwaukee Bucks leadership since the trade deadline, according to sources.
He also was not considered part of the team’s decision to bring in Taylor Jenkins as head coach.
Jenkins previously worked as an assistant under Mike Budenholzer during the early years of Antetokounmpo’s career.
Antetokounmpo’s situation is shaping up to be one of the league’s biggest storylines this offseason, as he reaches a pivotal moment with the organization.
In October, he will be eligible to sign a contract extension worth up to four years and $275 million.
When asked if he may have already played his final game for Milwaukee, Antetokounmpo did not provide a definitive answer or rule out staying with the team.
“That’s a very good question,” Antetokounmpo said. “I don’t know. It’s not up to me. We’ll see.”
