“The Big Wheel” on the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers, Lance was a terrific backstop, who’s 19 year career saw stops in Anaheim, Philadelphia after 10 years in the Motor City.
Lance finished up with one year stops with the Blue Jays, Mariners, Pirates, and Indians.
Lance hit 212 of his 324 homers playing for the Tigers, the most for any Detroit catcher (Bill Freehan-200).
