Isle of Man TT shares updated 2026 schedule after poor weather

The Isle of Man TT organisers have shared a new schedule for this year’s event after poor weather forced changes to Tuesday’s racing.

A one-hour delay to the second day of racing was announced at 5:50, with poor conditions on the course. A further one-hour delay was then announced at 9:30.

At 10:30, organisers revealed a revised schedule due to the conditions, with only the four-lap Supersport race now due to take place, and with the Sportbike and Superstock races rescheduled.

Another one-hour delay was announced at 12:00, with the Supersport race cut to three laps and pushed back to 15:00.

There had initially been no running planned on Tuesday evening, but organisers said the outlook for the evening is improving better than had been originally forecast, and the 3-lap Carole Nash Sportbike Race 1 will now take place at 18:30.

This is the second weather delay to cause disruption after bad conditions on Saturday prompted the rescheduling of the opening Superstock race.

The first day of racing was scrapped after heavy fog blanketed the lower sections of the course just as the three-lap Superstock TT was due to get underway at 11am local time.

Organisers first announced an initial one-hour delay to the schedule, followed by a second one – but, with rain forecast for the afternoon meaning that they had a smaller and smaller window in which to run the race, they made the decision at 11:30am to suspend the entire day’s action.

Sunday’s racing went ahead as planned, with Dean Harrison claiming victory in the opening Superbike race.

The changes come after the Sidecar races were cancelled following a serious incident.

On Thursday, organisers immediately suspended the class due to “an immediate technical and operational review to assess the circumstances” of the red flag crash involving pre-race favourites Callum and Ryan Crowe during Wednesday night’s qualifying session.
