Jacob Fatu And Sol Ruca Injury Updates Revealed Ahead Of WWE Clash In Italy

With Clash in Italy a little over 24 hours away, WWE could have two major injury concerns heading into its latest overseas PLE. Now, some new reports have provided updates on what’s happening with Jacob Fatu and Sol Ruca.

Questions were raised about Fatu’s condition following a non-televised WWE Live event in Liverpool, England, on Thursday, after fans spotted the Samoan Werewolf limping following his Street Fight against Solo Sikoa. At the time, it was unclear whether the apparent injury was legitimate or simply part of the match’s aftermath.

According to PWInsider Elite, Fatu is indeed dealing with an injury, though details regarding its severity have yet to be revealed.

Before that report, False Finish’s Cory Hays indicated that Fatu was “okay,” and WWE made no mention of any injury concerns during last night’s episode of SmackDown. Hays later added that WWE currently expects Fatu to be ready for Clash In Italy, though contingency plans are reportedly being considered should he be unable to compete.

As things stand, Fatu remains scheduled to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, Sol Ruca is also said to be dealing with some physical issues following her recent encounter with Becky Lynch at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

During the May 25 edition of RAW, Cathy Kelley noted during a backstage interview segment with Lynch that Ruca had suffered injuries during her disqualification victory over “The Man.” WWE has not officially disclosed the nature of those injuries.

Lynch added fuel to the speculation on Friday with a post on X in which she claimed Ruca had not been medically cleared to compete at Clash In Italy. She wrote, “I told Sol Puka (cause she makes me want to puke!!!!!) she wasn’t ready to step in the ring with me and she didn’t listen!!!!! I hope she make it to Italy although she’s not medically cleared! Some people think it’s because she LOST HER MIND!”

Fortunately, PWInsider Elite has also since addressed Lynch’s comments, noting that WWE sources confirmed Ruca was still scheduled to travel to Italy.

“In regard to Becky Lynch saying Sol Ruca was not medically cleared to wrestle, Ruca got banged up at the Saturday Night’s Main Event match,” the site explained. “However, WWE sources indicated to PWInsiderElite.com this afternoon that Ruca is traveling to Italy for the Clash in Italy event today. So, Ruca will be there.”

For now, it appears WWE is optimistic that both stars will be present for Clash In Italy, though Fatu’s status remains one to watch closely as the event draws nearer. Who or what WWE would pivot to in his absence is hard to say, but it would be a major blow to the event.
