“He’s a big motivation not just as a fighter but just with everything he came from and everything they dealt with back then,” said Tucker. “I grew up around 10 minutes away from where Mike Tyson grew up from, so we grew up in the same kind of areas, the same kind of situations. It’s certain aspects and the fact that he was in way worse situations than me, especially the time period the [19]80s when crack took over New York and stuff like that. [It was] a lot different, but seeing how he could come from that to now being a multi-millionaire, billionaire guy, went broke, came back rich, the youngest heavyweight world champion of all time, it shows that you could do it, man. New York is one of those towns where it’s super-small but super-big at the same time.”
