Eric Andre got destroyed by Jacob Fatu on RAW this week, but apparently, he had the time of his life despite that.
The whole thing went down on the June 15 episode of Monday Night RAW, where Andre was sitting front row during the Bloodline chaos. Fatu yanked him over the barricade, dragged him into the ring, and crushed him with back-to-back diving headbutts while Roman Reigns watched and laughed.
It looked brutal on TV, but John Cena says Andre was thrilled about it. While speaking to Adam’s Apple, Cena talked about Andre’s first WWE appearance and said his Little Brother co-star walked away loving the whole experience.
“My castmate and little brother, Eric Andre, just got his first WWE appearance a few nights ago. He’s like, ‘Man, it was the best thing of my life.’ So it was just transferring that passion to another lane.”
That makes the whole beatdown even funnier. WWE used Andre’s appearance to promote Little Brother, his new Netflix comedy with Cena, which starts streaming on June 26. At the same time, they got to make Fatu look like a monster right after Roman officially welcomed him into the Bloodline.
So, Andre got smashed on national TV, helped promote a movie, and apparently left feeling like he had just checked something huge off his bucket list. In the end, Eric Andre may have taken one of the nastier celebrity beatdowns on RAW, but according to John Cena, he loved every second of it.
