The Raw after Backlash left some more unknown’s when it comes to Asuka and WWE. According to commentary, her future is “up in the air” as she passed the torch to IYO SKY and said her “see ya later’s.” You can read more on this backstage segment here.
Moving on from a truly emotional moment, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Paige and Brie Bella, answered Judgment Day’s call to come to Raw. Since winning the tag team gold at WrestleMania last month, the “nostalgia team” (as Raquel Rodriguez has coined them) has only been appearing and defending on SmackDown. The tag team champions ask the Judgement Day to come out since they are the once who invited them to show up.
Roxanne Perez reminisces seeing Paige and Brie on TV when she was younger, back when she says they were relevant. She says she met the Bella Twins when she was a kid and was told that she would carry out the Bella legacy, only for her to now realize that was setting the bar so low. Brie says that she believes that Perez is confusing her with Liv Morgan as it appears that Perez is just a footnote for the Judgment Day. Brie says the only person who is more disappointed in Perez than she is, is Perez’s mother.
Rodriguez turns the attention to Paige saying she has been giving so many changes and fumbles all of them. So while she waits for her next scandal to happen, that they can just turn over the tag team title belts to them. Things turn physical between the four before Morgan steps in and the fight turned into a numbers game. At the end, all three members of the Judgment Day stood tall with Perez and Rodriguez holding the tag team gold.
Moments later SKY took on the Raw rookie, Sol Ruca. With SKY coming off a huge win at Backlash, it wasn’t looking too good for Ruca to win this, but she held her own throughout the match. It did come down to Ruca finally going for the Sol Snatcher, but SKY evaded it. SKY pinned Ruca with a crucifix pin. Later backstage, SKY told Ruca that she is the future and that she hopes to do it again someday. As SKY walks away, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch appears. She scoffs at Ruca saying she can’t even defeat IYO Jannetty and that the lights must be too bright.
Lastly, Maxxine was seen once again with The Vision. Over the past couple of months, she has been seen with mostly Austin Theory in the background talking. This time, she was in the car waiting for Theory and Logan Paul to get in as they exited the arena.
