Well, this week, all of our Top 10 teams have finished off their schedules, and, given the levels of competition, it should be no surprise that eight out of the 10 won their terminal end-of-season tournaments.
You might wonder why not all of this year’s Top 10 are champions. Thing is, the presence of runner-ups Episcopal Academy and McDonogh are not only because they are good teams, but they come from some of the best competitions (InterAc and the IAAM, respectively) in the United States. Fine margins often determine the results of these league fixtures, and that is reflected below.
For the record, there are just nine girls’ lacrosse games left in the 2026 domestic season. We’ll preview the three Maine Principals’ Association finals later this week.

Season complete: Won the IAAM Class A final with a 10-5 win over Owings Mills McDonogh (Md.)
2. Manchester (Md.) Valley 19-0
Season complete: Won the MPSSAA Class 2A final with a 14-5 win over Ellicott City Centennial (Md.) 14-5 to win the
3. Darien (Conn.) 21-0
Season complete: The Blue Wave beat New Canaan 13-4 for the CIAC Class LL championship; it was the third time that Darien beat their Fairfield County rival this season, by an aggregate score of 42-12
4. South Huntington St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) 17-1
Season complete: The Friars won the NSCHSGAA title with a 13-4 win over Uniondale Kellenberg Memorial (N.Y.)
5. Philadelphia Penn Charter (Pa.) 23-2
Season complete: The Quakers outlasted Newtown Square Episcopal Academy (Pa.) 7-4 in the final of the PAISAA Tournament
6. Sayville (N.Y.) 21-0
Season complete: The Golden Flash raced out to an 8-1 lead over Jamesville-DeWitt (N.Y.) and ran out 15-7 winners in the final of the NYSPHSAA Class C Tournament
7. Owings Mills McDonogh (Md.) 13-4
Season complete: The Eagles threw a third-quarter scare into Maryvale Prep before falling short in the final term of the IAAM Class A final
8. Olney Good Counsel (Md.) 17-2
Season complete: The Falcons defeated Chantilly Paul VI (Va.) 13-3 to win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title
9. Newtown Square Episcopal Academy (Pa.) 16-6
Season complete: The Churchwomen, after a 12-9 win over Villanova Academy of Notre Dame de Namur (Pa.), dropped a 7-4 decision to Penn Charter in the finals of the PAISAA Tournament
10. Cumming West Forsyth (Ga.) 22-0
Season complete: Wolverines defeated Suwanee Lambert (Ga.) 10-8 in the GHSA Division 3 final
