BURBANK, CALIF. – COMBATE GLOBAL has officially announced that three-time world boxing champion and unbeaten MMA fighter Kenia Enriquez (28-1, 11 KOs in boxing; 2-0 MMA) will headline the promotion’s second event of the year on Thursday, March 12, live from EstrellaTV’s studio in Burbank, California.

The event will air live and free-of-charge in the United States in Spanish on EstrellaTV and Samsung TV Plus at 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. CT. Fans worldwide can also stream the action live and free in English on “FIGHTTIPS,” the YouTube channel of renowned MMA content creator Shane Fazen. Additionally, the card will broadcast live in Mexico via Samsung TV Plus.

Enriquez Makes Her Third MMA Appearance

The 31-year-old Enriquez, fighting out of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, will face CaySea McBride (0-3) in a strawweight (115-pound) main event bout inside La Jaula — the COMBATE GLOBAL cage.

Enriquez continues her transition from elite-level boxing into mixed martial arts under the guidance of veteran fighter and trainer Carlos “Goku” Arana at Delta Martial Arts in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

“Once boxing was the royalty of combat sports. Today, MMA has flipped the script and is now on top. COMBATE royally welcomes boxing champion Kenia Enriquez, queen of the squared circle, into La Jaula,” said COMBATE GLOBAL CEO Campbell McLaren.

A Decorated Boxing Champion Steps into La Jaula

Since turning professional in 2014, Enriquez has built an impressive boxing résumé. Over her 13-year career, she has captured the World Boxing Organization (WBO) world flyweight championship and claimed two separate World Boxing Council (WBC) interim world titles.

Now undefeated in MMA at 2-0, Enriquez aims to further establish herself as one of the most successful crossover athletes in combat sports.

She joins a notable list of accomplished boxers who have competed under the COMBATE GLOBAL banner. The promotion previously hosted multiple-time world champion Amanda Serrano twice between 2018 and 2019. Additionally, undefeated boxer and Lucha Libre star Dulce Garcia — widely known as “Sexy Star” — competed three times for the promotion between 2019 and 2021.

McBride Seeks Breakthrough Performance

Standing across from Enriquez will be 32-year-old CaySea McBride, who represents Portland, Oregon. McBride also trains in Spokane, Washington, at Sik Jitsu under head coach Rick Little alongside undefeated teammates Melissa “Mamba” Amaya and Juliana Miller.

A lifelong martial artist, McBride began training at age six in Tae Kwon Do and currently holds a black belt in Japanese Ju-Jitsu. She will look to secure her first professional victory against one of combat sports’ most decorated champions.

The remainder of the March 12 fight card will be announced next week.
