Kofi Kingston didn’t waste time reacting after Brock Lesnar’s loss at WrestleMania 42, making it clear he felt a long-standing score had finally been settled.
Oba Femi scored one of the biggest wins of his career during Night Two of WrestleMania 42, taking down Brock Lesnar after surviving an F5 and firing back with his Fall From Grace finisher for the victory. The moment got even more attention after Lesnar removed his gloves and boots and left them in the ring, a move widely seen as a possible retirement signal.
Shortly after the match, Kofi Kingston took to social media and posted a message that immediately caught fans’ attention, referencing his history with Lesnar. After seeing Lesnar defeated on the biggest stage, Kingston shared a brief but pointed reaction.
“Avenged…at long last…”
That reaction ties back to one of the most shocking title losses in recent WWE history. Back in October 2019, Lesnar defeated Kingston in just seven seconds during the SmackDown on FOX premiere, abruptly ending Kingston’s WWE Championship reign in a moment that left fans stunned.
Lesnar also played a role in ending Big E’s WWE Championship run during a fatal four-way match at WWE Day 1 in 2022, further fueling frustration among fans of The New Day over the years.
With Oba Femi defeating Lesnar — and possibly ending his in-ring career — Kingston’s message made it clear that, at least in his eyes, justice had finally been served years after that infamous seven-second loss.
Do you think Oba Femi beating Brock Lesnar really counts as payback for Kofi Kingston, or does Kofi still deserve another shot at Lesnar himself? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know.
