Lexis King Wins WWE Speed Title During 4/21 NXT

The April 21 episode of NXT was a big episode, as the brand brought the second night of their Revenge special. That included a match for a vacant title.

The WWE Speed Championship needed to be relinquished when Elio LeFleur announced he was injured. With the French Luchador out of action, a new WWE Speed Champion needed to be crowned, so they held another tournament.

In the end, Lexis King and EK Prosper were in the finals. They had five minutes to wrestle, and the match went until there was thirty seconds to go before a new champion was crowned.

Ariana Grace, the TNA Knockouts Champion, got involved and slapped EK, but then he fought off other members of Birth Rite. However, once he got back in the ring, he ate a Corronation from Lexis King and took a pinfall.

After the match, Birth Rite celebrated their big win with Lexis King. Now the stable has another reason to be happy, as a champion is in its ranks. Only time will tell how it all turns out, but this was quite a match during the Revenge special.
