Liv Morgan Denies Danhausen Curse After Queen Of The Ring Loss

Liv Morgan Denies Danhausen Curse After Queen Of The Ring Loss

Liv Morgan lost the Queen of the Ring finals at WWE Night of Champions, and now she has another problem on her hands: everyone wants to know if Danhausen cursed her.

The weirdness started before Liv’s match against IYO SKY even got going. Liv interrupted Danhausen during his promo, and he cursed her. Not exactly the way a champion wants to start the night.

Then IYO SKY went out there and beat Liv in Saudi Arabia with an Over The Moonsault to win the Queen of the Ring tournament. That victory also earned IYO a Women’s World Championship match at SummerSlam, and she made it clear right after the match that she wants Liv again.

During the Night of Champions post-show, Byron Saxton caught up with Liv and asked if her loss had anything to do with Danhausen’s curse. Liv shut that down immediately.

“No, no. Byron. Byron. Byron. Byron. Byron. Byron. I’m not cursed. Byron. I’m not cursed.”

Byron pushed back and reminded Liv that everyone heard Danhausen say she was cursed. Liv still wasn’t having it.

“Byron. Byron. He was just joking. I’m not cursed. I’m not cursed. Byron. I’m not cursed.”

Then Byron moved on to SummerSlam, where Liv will now defend the Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY. Liv corrected him fast and made it clear she plans on keeping the title.

“Retain. Because I am the greatest women’s World Champion of all time, Byron.”

Byron then tried to add “assuming there is no curse,” and that set Liv off again. She insisted Danhausen does not have powers, the curse is not real, and then said she had to go call Dominik.

“There’s no curse. Do you understand me, Byron? There’s no curse. There’s no curse. Danhausen does not have powers. It’s not real. There’s no curse. Excuse me, I have to go call Dominic. Okay, I’m gonna go call Dominic. There’s no curse, Byron.”

That was not exactly the calmest denial in the world. Liv may say she is not cursed, but the timing looks pretty bad. She gets cursed before the match, loses to IYO SKY, and now has to defend her title against that same woman at SummerSlam.

IYO SKY now has the crown, the momentum, and a guaranteed title shot. Liv still has the Women’s World Championship, but she also has Danhausen’s curse hanging over her whether she wants to admit it or not.

Do you think Liv Morgan is actually cursed, or is IYO SKY just the better woman heading into SummerSlam? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
