Liverpool welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Anfield for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday night.
The holders are 2-0 up after the first leg in the French capital last week, and Arne Slot’s side must therefore conjure up a minor miracle if they are to progress.
Last time out the Reds defeated Fulham 2-0 in the Premier League, keeping alive their hopes of finishing in the top four and qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Away from the action, it is emerging that the Merseyside outfit are stepping up their interest in an impressive Bundesliga midfielder.
As per Sports BILD, viaTEAMtalk, the reigning Premier League champions are accelerating their pursuit of Hoffenheim midfielder Bazoumana Toure.
It is claimed that Liverpool have identified the 20-year-old as a potential transfer target as they look to bolster their squad in attacking areas

Toure joined Hoffenheim from Swedish side Hammarby at the start of last year and has since made a total of 40 appearances for the German side across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing 14 assists.
It is claimed that the Reds had scouts in attendance to watch Toure represent Ivory Coast, during an international friendly against Scotland.
The winger is quickly building a reputation as one of the best young attackers in the German top flight, and it appears that his current side may face a battle to keep hold of the player beyond this summer as interest ramps up.
Toure is under contract at Hoffenheim until the end of the 2028/29 season, having signed a long-term deal when joining the club last year.
Liverpool are said to have made it clear to the Bundesliga side that they are planning an attempt to sign the player this summer.
