Maxxis Launches New 32″ Tyres Plus New MaxxTerra Compound and Aspen AT Tyres

Maxxis Launches New 32″ Tyres Plus New MaxxTerra Compound and Aspen AT Tyres

Maxxis has added two key additions to its lineup: the all-new Aspen AT cross-country tyre, and a new range of 32-inch mountain bike tyres.

Together, Maxxis says these launches reflect their continued focus on evolving rider needs, from today’s increasingly demanding XC racecourses to the exploration of entirely new performance boundaries in wheel and tyre design.

Maxxis says the Aspen AT builds on the legacy of the Aspen family, long trusted at the highest levels of cross-country racing. Designed to carry Aspen’s signature speed into rougher and more variable terrain, the Aspen AT introduces an updated tread profile that improves control and confidence without sacrificing its racing pedigree. Positioned between pure race tyres and more aggressive trail options, the Aspen AT is aimed at riders who want one tyre that can handle more of what modern XC demands.

At the same time, Maxxis says it is looking further ahead with the introduction of its family of 32” MTB tyres. By increasing overall wheel diameter, the new platform delivers measurable gains in rollover capability, traction, and high-speed stability, particularly in rough terrain. While not intended to replace existing wheel sizes, 32” tyres offer a new option for riders and builders interested in maximising momentum, smoothing trail feedback, and unlocking new riding possibilities. Available at launch in Aspen ST, Aspen, and Aspen AT tread patterns, with Forekaster and Dissector available in Q3.

Aspen AT Highlights:

• Fast-rolling XC tyre with increased all-terrain capability
• Updated tread design for improved control in rough conditions
• Built for modern cross-country and downcountry riding

MaxxTerra Compound Gets a Major Performance Upgrade

Maxxis has also announced the next generation of the popular MaxxTerra rubber compound, delivering significant gains in durability and traction while maintaining the rolling efficiency riders expect from the brand’s performance mountain bike tyres.

According to Maxxis, at a time when everything seems to be getting more expensive, they heard the feedback from mountain bikers that they wanted tyres that would last longer, without giving up the ability to perform in challenging terrain, “The Maxxis engineers have been hard at work in the lab developing and testing this new generation MaxxTerra compound, and well…they nailed it!”

We couldn’t be more excited about the results, with at least a 30% improvement in tread wear and durability over the original generation MaxxTerra, and a 15% improvement in traction. All accomplished without giving up anything in rolling resistance. This is performance you’ll feel from the first ride, and performance you’ll keep feeling ride, after ride, after ride. That means more time having fun riding your bike, and less time changing tyres!

The updated compound will roll out across the full range of Maxxis trail tyres in phases, with the first phase available now. The new generation MaxxTerra is identified by a “New MaxxTerra” graphic on the packaging, and the tech badge on the tyre now reads only “MaxxTerra” compared with the old version, which said “3C MaxxTerra”.
