With his Hair vs. Title rematch against Darby Allin set for AEW Double Or Nothing this coming Sunday, MJF responded to a fan who asked who the next five AEW World Champions would be.
MJF declared he would hold the title until retirement, following which his own son would win the title to carry on his legacy. He tweeted,
“MJF, MJF retires. Tournament to honor MJF’s legacy and crown a new champion. MJF’s son wins the belt.”
AEW has also released a new ‘Balder Than You’ shirt teasing the possibility that MJF could lose his hair this weekend.
AEW World Champion Darby Allin made a surprise appearance at a 1FW Wrestling TV taping in McDonough, Georgia. The promotion is run by AEW’s QT Marshall.
After the lights went out, Darby made his entrance to confront Kiran Grey, who had been standing over several other performers, and then hit a Scorpion Death Drop followed by a Coffin Drop.
Darby then picked up a mic, cut a quick promo, and thanked the crowd for attending the show. The AEW World Champion already has two major defenses lined up before Double Or Nothing, starting with ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey on Wednesday and then MJF on Sunday.
