WWE’s latest round of roster cuts may not be over, as a new report suggests there could be more names on the way from the developmental side.
After the April 24, 2026 wave of releases saw around 25 WWE stars let go across the main roster and NXT, attention had already turned to how deep the cuts would go. Now, while speaking on Wrestling Observer Live on April 27, 2026, Bryan Alvarez indicated that the situation may still be unfolding. He explained that what has been released so far may only be part of a larger list internally, as more releases from the developmental side could take place.
“I was told Friday that it was like a big NXT list, and this list ain’t that big, so there may be more names coming from the developmental side.”
The report suggests that the releases already confirmed, particularly the names from like Sirena Linton, Tyson, Tyriek Igwe, Chris Island, Malik Blade, and Trill London may not represent the full scope of what WWE had planned.
The original cuts had already led to heavy discussion, especially after reports noted that the decisions were made internally by WWE leadership, including Triple H and Nick Khan, rather than directly by TKO corporate.
At the time of writing, nothing additional has been officially confirmed yet, but the possibility of more releases means the situation remains fluid as WWE continues reshaping its roster.
