Ombraz, (ombra, n. shade, in Italian), the award-winning brand that reimagined eyewear by removing the arms entirely, announces the Azzurro, its first full-wrap performance frame designed for guides and professionals in harsh water environments.

On the water, you’re dealing with glare from every angle, sweat, salt, spray, hats, wind, and long hours of exposure. Made in Italy, the Azzurro brings expanded coverage and peripheral protection, revamped rubber nose pads, and all-new polarized mirrored ZEISS optics to the brand’s patented armless collection.

Unlike conventional performance sunglasses, the Azzurro has no arms to pinch under hats or helmets. The built-in cord gently secures the frame, preventing the sunglasses from slipping without creating side pressure, the glasses can be worn all day with zero discomfort or pinching.

Without arms and constructed from TR-90 – a lightweight, ultra-durable, aerospace-grade frame material, Ombraz are an indestructible piece of gear – you can stow them easily in a pocket, dry bag, tackle box, pack, or boat compartment without worrying about broken hinges or snapped temples. The Azzurro is backed by Ombraz’s lifetime warranty, affirming the brand’s long-standing durability promise.

The Azzurro debuts a revamped nose pad system with a rubber ligature and newly designed rubber nose pads, created to improve grip, comfort, and stability in wet, hot, and high-output environments.

Premium ZEISS Optics for Every Water Environment

The Azzurro’s polarized lens collection is built using ZEISS’ most premium-lens material, polyamide. With specific tints and mirror combinations selected to solve a different visual problem in every harsh water environment.

World-class polarization reduces reflected glare from water, road, snow, sand, decks, and windshields – making it easier to read water texture, surface changes, and subsurface detail.
Every lens provides 100% UVA/UVB protection up to 400 nanometers and features upgraded ZEISS Tri-Pel coatings to repel water, oil, sweat, sunscreen, salt, and smudges while delivering world-class optical clarity.

Charcoal Frame Lens Options

Polarized Grey with Blue Mirror – Blocks 91% of Light

Also optimized for: skiing, snowboarding, and mountaineering.

Polarized Yellow with Green Mirror – Blocks 81% of Light

Built for variable-light conditions on freshwater, this lens is designed for fly fishing, sight-fishing, and white-water. A versatile freshwater, flats, inshore, and travel lens. Tortoise Frame Lens Options
