Packers Urged To Sign Two-time Super Bowl Champion Pass Rusher

Expect the Packers to leave no stone unturned in the weeks ahead to find a complementary pass rusher to pair opposite Micah Parsons, and fill in as the All-Pro continues to work his way back from a torn ACL.

There could be a marquee free agent signing on general manager Brian Gutekunst’s radar, or a player with a lengthy resumè who could be the ideal short-term replacement for Parsons opposite someone like Lukas Van Ness and an eventual running mate for him once he gets back onto the field.

Packers an ideal fit for Kyle Van Noy?

Over at Heavy Sports, Max Dible argues that two-time Super Bowl champion and Pro Bowl linebacker Kyle Van Noy could be an ideal fit for the Packers, and give the veteran the chance to chase another ring in Green Bay.

“He was not as effective last season,” Dible writes for Heavy. “But still produced four tackles for loss, four pass defenses, two sacks and an interception. Beyond what he brought as a pass-rusher, Van Noy posted a run-defense grade of 76.7, per Pro Football Focus, which ranked him 13th out of 115 edge defenders who played enough snaps in 2025 to qualify for a ranking.

“Spotrac pinpointed Van Noy’s market value at $3.5 million for the upcoming campaign, which would prove more than a bargain for Green Bay if he can play anywhere near the same level he reached two years ago.”

At $3.5 million, Van Noy would arguably be a bargain, given his track record for production.

Van Noy would be a known commodity amid significant skepticism over whether Van Ness will live up to his potential as a former first-round pick this season, and a major upgrade from a culture and team leadership standpoint.

As Van Noy looks for his next opportunity, the chance to play opposite Parsons and potentially make a run at a Super Bowl could be drawing cards for Green Bay.
