Ulka Sasaki’s WWE journey looks like it is about to move past the house show stage, because the Pro Wrestling NOAH standout is heading to WWE EVOLVE soon.
According to False Finish, the Pro Wrestling NOAH star is set to appear on an episode of WWE EVOLVE in the coming weeks. That is not just some random booking note, either. Sasaki has already been in Florida, training at the WWE Performance Center, working NXT live events, and getting those reps in before WWE puts him in front of a wider audience.
Sasaki came to the United States earlier this year for his WWE NXT excursion after first revealing at the start of 2026 that he was heading over. He later confirmed in a YouTube vlog that he was in Florida for WWE and would begin training once he finished the medical process.
Since then, WWE has been testing him out on the road. Sasaki has worked NXT live event matches against Charlie Dempsey, Kam Hendrix, Kale Dixon, Keanu Carver, Niko Vance, and Channing Lorenzo. He also teamed with Eli Knight and Kale Dixon against The Vanity Project.
Sasaki also comes with a pretty serious combat sports background. The 36-year-old is a former UFC fighter who also fought in Rizin and Shooto before making the jump to pro wrestling with NOAH. In just over two years there, he became GHC National Champion and also held the GHC Tag Team Titles.
This all ties into the growing WWE and NOAH relationship. Yoshiki Inamura already spent time in NXT before heading back to NOAH, while names like Omos, Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights, Josh Briggs, Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, and others have worked in Japan.
Now, Sasaki may be getting his first real EVOLVE moment. After months of dark matches and NXT house shows, WWE could finally be ready to let more fans see what the former MMA fighter brings to the table.
Do you think Ulka Sasaki should get a strong push on WWE EVOLVE, or should WWE slow-play his rise in NXT? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
