The Baltimore Ravens continued to add depth at running back behind NFL All-Pro Derrick Henry following the NFL draft, adding undrafted free agent Eastern Michigan running back Dontae McMillan after he ran for a career-high 1,015 yards in 2025.

“In 2025, McMillan had a standout season with the Eagles, accumulating a total of 1,389 yards and scoring seven touchdowns,” Ravens Wire’s Glenn Erbey wrote on Saturday night. “He rushed the ball 177 times for 1,015 yards and four touchdowns, while also contributing with 33 receptions for 375 yards and three touchdowns, marking the first three receiving touchdowns of his career. McMillan became the first running back to earn All-MAC honors since Samson Evans received second-team recognition in 2022. He joined Evans on the 1,000-yard rushing list, with his 1,015 rushing yards ranking 14th for a single season and making him the 12th different player from EMU to surpass the 1,000-yard mark.”

Signing Williams followed the Ravens drafting Clemson’s Adam Randall in the 5th round (No. 174 overall).

The Ravens haven’t selected a running back before the 5th round since taking J.K. Dobbins in the 2nd round (No. 55 overall) of the 2020 NFL draft.

“A lengthy injury history in college contributed to Randall having to wait to hear his name called,” Heavy’s James Dudko wrote following the pick. “But he’s got a versatile enough skill-set to become Ravens franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson’s best friend on football’s money down.”

McMillan Transferred From Weber State

McMillan, 5-foot-10 and 203 pounds, led Weber State in rushing in 2021 and 2022 and was named All-Big Sky Conference before transferring to Eastern Michigan.

From EMU Athletics: “McMillan turned in five games of 100+ yards rushing, including 126 against Louisiana, 118 at Buffalo, 104 against Northern Illinois, 100 against Bowling Green, and 111 in his final game with Western Michigan. In the game with the Broncos, he added 126 yards receiving for the first 100-yard game of his career while becoming the first player in EMU history with 100+ rushing and 100+ receiving in the same game. Overall, McMillan, who started all 12 games, ranked among the top 40 in four national statistical categories, including 16th in all-purpose yards per game (115.8), 28th in rushing yards, 33rd in yards per carry (5.73), and 36th in rushing yards per game (84.5).”
