Raw After WrestleMania Main Roster Call-Ups » TWNP-Wrestling News

For better or for worse, WrestleMania 42 is in the history books. Last night, Las Vegas hosted the Raw after WrestleMania. The Monday after Mania is considered one of the most unpredictable nights in wrestling. While this year’s Raw saw a Bloodline reunion and the tease of a future CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes rivalry, there were also many NXT call-ups. In fact, many of the new faces of Raw were names that we reported last week. Here’s the latest on the newest WWE Raw Superstars.

Ethan Page

The first NXT call-up for the Raw after WrestleMania was Ethan Page. All Ego crashed a backstage segment between Je’Von Evans and Penta. This altercation led to Ethan Page’s first match as an official main roster member.

Je’Von Evans was still sporting the wounds of his Ladder Match participation on WrestleMania Sunday. The crafty Ethan Page exposed that weakness to focus on the bruised body of The Bouncy One.

When things spilled outside, Rusev tried to interfere. However, Je’Von Evans flew over the announcer’s section to wipe out The Bulgarian Brute. This distraction proved enough to give Ethan Page the upper hand. The new Raw Superstar dropped B-Fab’s cousin with a Twisted Grin to win his main roster debut.

After the match, Rusev exacted revenge on his WrestleMania counterpart. The former AEW star stormed the ring to attack Evans as Page walked off unfazed. Intercontinental Champion Penta hit the ring to save the Young OG. However, Ethan Page shoved the IC Champ off the ropes. Rusev took advantage, locking Penta in the Accolade as Ethan Page clapped in the aisle.

Sol Ruca

As we also reported, Sol Ruca was expected to join the main roster. After last night’s Raw after WrestleMania, it looks like Sol Ruca found a new home on Monday nights. WWE Creative was tinkering with adding Sol Ruca to SmackDown, but, as we stated, she is dating a member of the Raw roster. In the end, WWE decided to keep the happy couple together.

Sol Ruca made a splash during her main roster debut. The NXT standout interrupted Liv Morgan’s Championship address. Although she interrupted Liv Morgan, Sol Ruca tried to give the Troublemaker her flowers. However, the Women’s Champion told Sol Ruca she was “No Liv Morgan.”

The two squared off in a competitive match that brought the crowd to their feet. At one point, Sol Ruca nailed a Backflip Cartwheel over the top rope to wipe out Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Her uncanny athleticism caused a “Holy s***” chant amongst the WWE Universe.

While Sol Ruca put on an impressive display, she still came up short against The Judgment Day star. Unfortunately for the surfer, she was attacked outside of the ring by Zaria.

Sol Ruca’s former partner threw the former Speed Champion into the ring post and planted her with a Spinebuster. As the fiery Ruca crawled back into the ring, she ate an ObLIVion.

Did Zaria Debut on the Raw After WrestleMania?

Zaria made a significant impact on the Monday after Mania. While Zaria cost her ZaRuca counterpart her main roster debut match, don’t expect to see the Australian on the main roster regularly.

WWE had Zaria have a surprise on Raw to advertise their Last Woman Standing Match on NXT tomorrow night. It’s believed that this will be Sol Ruca’s final NXT match. However, Zaria is expected to stay on the black-and-gold brand for the time being.

Joe Hendry

WWE believes in Joe Hendry, even if he wasn’t on Raw last night. Michael Cole announced that the musician has officially joined the main roster.

Instead of cramming Joey Hendry’s Raw full-time debut into the Raw after WrestleMania, the spotlight will be on the Scottish Superstar next Monday in Laredo, Texas. It was announced that Joe Hendry will have a concert live on Raw next week.

What Other NXT Stars Will Be Called Up?

Three out of the four NXT call-ups we reported on happened on Raw last night. The only name locked in is Jacy Jayne. So, we can expect to see her debut on SmackDown this Friday.

That said, there might be more than one NXT call-up. After all, SmackDown just extended to three hours, and Roman Reigns has now moved to Raw full-time.

There are rumors that Blake Monroe might finish up on NXT this Tuesday. However, her new pairing with The Vanity Project suggests otherwise. It will be interesting to see if anyone else gets called up to the main roster during the SmackDown after WrestleMania!
