Cody Rhodes says his long-running issue with R-Truth goes back more than a decade, joking that Truth “made my life a living hell” during his time as “‘Dashing’ Cody Rhodes” and later as “Stardust” on the WWE live event circuit.
Cody claimed that “Ron Killings has been ducking me” and revealed that he recently whispered to Truth, “I never forget anything.” He also admitted that Truth has dominated their past matchups, saying, “I think he’s got like thirty-some victories on me.”
Referencing his famous WWE catchphrase, Cody explained that “‘Finishing the story,’ the term we have and Michael Cole coined at WWE” wasn’t truly about the WWE Championship. Instead, he joked that it’s really “about beating Ron, beating Truth.”
Cody continued the bit by saying, “When I do that, I’ll be complete” and “I can sleep at night after I beat Truth,” before hilariously admitting, “I’m very petty.”
