ROH Tuesday Specials Are Considered AEW Dark Rebranded

Ring of Honor’s Tuesday specials may have the ROH logo on them, but the format is starting to look a whole lot like AEW Dark with a new coat of paint.

AEW Dark used to be the YouTube home for extra matches, developing talent, and keeping names active outside of Dynamite and Collision. Now, ROH’s Tuesday specials seem to be filling that exact same role, only under the Ring of Honor banner.

Fightful Select put it pretty clearly, saying the ROH Tuesday specials are basically a rebranded version of AEW Dark.

“In case people haven’t picked this up, ROH Tuesday specials are basically AEW Dark rebranded.”

That is the whole story here. AEW may not be calling it Dark anymore, but these ROH specials are serving the same purpose. They give wrestlers screen time, keep content flowing on YouTube, and allow AEW/ROH to use more of the roster without forcing everything onto weekly television.

The numbers also show there is still an audience for this kind of YouTube wrestling content. The June 16, 2026 ROH TV Special Tuesday episode has 68,000 views after three days. The June 9, 2026 episode has 91,000 views after ten days. The May 12, 2026 episode has 79,000 views after one month.

ROH Tuesday specials may be useful, but the comparison is hard to dodge. AEW Dark may be gone in name, but its spirit looks very much alive through Ring of Honor’s weekly Tuesday uploads.

Do you think ROH Tuesday specials are a smart way to keep the AEW Dark format alive, or should ROH be handled as a completely separate brand? Let us know what you think in the comments.
