We’re thrilled to announce our next new signing, Ronnie du Randt, a centre who joins us from Richmond.
Telling us about Ronnie, Blackheath Rugby’s Head Coach Tom Stradwick says “Ronnie du Randt further strengthens our midfield with his physicality and distribution. He offers a strong defensive presence while also bringing creativity in attack. We’re very pleased to welcome him to Blackheath and look forward to what he’ll bring to the team.” Ronnie can’t wait to get started, and says “Blackheath is a club with a massive history and a great reputation, so the opportunity to join was one I was really excited about. After achieving promotion and speaking to Tom, there seems to be a real buzz around the club and a clear ambition to keep moving forward. I’m looking forward to being part of that journey, getting stuck in with the squad, and doing everything I can to help the team have another successful season!”
On the new signing, Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director, says “A warm welcome to Ronnie who comes with a decent amount of Champ experience, most recently at Richmond and before that Nottingham, he also went from there to Rotherham for their 24/25 season in N1, so he should be very comfortable with us in Champ surroundings. Ronnie was of Richmond’s stand out players last season and we hope he continues that form at Blackheath.”
