A great weekend of table tennis on the Isle of Wight saw Southampton West as the visitors and more than 30 players from each Association, of all ages and abilities, competing.
There was some excellent table tennis over the three days, with close and exciting matches.
After the group stages, the final singles match was between James Wright (Southampton West) and Alex Rorke (IoW). These two players had never played each other before this weekend and James was the winner
The Island Association was delighted to have their centre packed with players and spectators, having never before had never had eight competitive matches taking place at the same time at the centre at Smallbrook, near Ryde.
Southampton West Table Tennis Club were the overall winners, and they were delighted with the warm and friendly welcome which they received.
Many thanks to everyone who took part and who helped in any way to ensure that this tournament was such a success. Both Associations look forward to a return fixture.
