Kenya 7s head coach Kevin Wambua has named his squad for the upcoming Hong Kong SVNS World Championship set to take place in Hong Kong.
Brian Tanga comes in as the only change to the squad, replacing Chrisant Ojwang, as the technical bench maintains confidence in the team’s structure and consistency.
The squad largely retains the core that featured in the last two legs in Montevideo and São Paulo, underlining stability within the setup. Players who keep their places include George Ooro, Kevin Wekesa, Vincent Onyala, Denis Abukuse, John Okoth, Samuel Asati, Nygel Amaitsa, David Nyangige, Festus Shiasi, Patrick Odongo and Floyd Wabwire.
Shujaa have been drawn in a tough Pool C where they will face Australia, New Zealand and United States in the opening leg of the HSBC SVNS World Championship. The tournament is scheduled for April 17–19 at Kai Tak Sports Park.
