Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill is now official for WWE Night of Champions, and the Women’s United States Title will be on the line.
The match had been talked about before WWE announced it, but now the company has pulled the trigger. On the June 19 episode of WWE SmackDown, Jade Cargill challenged Stratton to a Women’s United States Championship match at Night of Champions, and Tiffany did not run from it.
Later in the show, Cathy Kelley asked Stratton about Jade’s challenge during a backstage interview. Stratton accepted and made it clear she will be at Night of Champions.
That locks in a major women’s division match for the June 28 premium live event at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The setup started last week when Stratton teamed with Rhea Ripley against B-Fab and Michin. Stratton’s team lost, and after the match, she was beaten down by B-Fab, Michin, and Jade Cargill. Now Jade wants the title, and Tiffany has agreed to put it up.
This also confirms what had already been floating around behind the scenes. We previously noted that the plan was for Stratton to defend the Women’s United States Championship against Cargill at Night of Champions, even before WWE officially announced it.
Now there is no guessing needed. Jade Cargill called her shot, Tiffany Stratton accepted, and WWE made the match official.
Do you think Tiffany Stratton will retain at Night of Champions, or is Jade Cargill taking the Women’s United States Championship? Let us know what you think in the comments.
