Val Venis has once again taken aim at Cody Rhodes, continuing his recent string of social media attacks with a new post in which he imagined facing the former Undisputed WWE Champion in an MMA fight.
The latest comments come after Venis previously mocked Rhodes following his Night of Champions 2026 loss to Sami Zayn and exchanged remarks involving Disco Inferno. This time, however, the former WWE star shifted the conversation to Rhodes’ amateur wrestling credentials.
Venis acknowledged that Rhodes’ background as a successful high school wrestler gives him a stronger foundation than CM Punk had before making his transition to mixed martial arts. He wrote,
“Donkey Cud Cody Rhodes has a couple of state championships from his high school days. That’s already a better wrestling pedigree than CM Punk had before trying MMA.”
“But lock ‘Cud-Chew’ Cody in an MMA cage with The Big Valbowski, Val Venis, and the Cody fantasy ends the moment the door closes.”
“Wrestling trophies won’t prepare him for surviving a real fight. There is a word for someone like Cud-Chew Cody with confidence weighted far more than his abilities.”
