Wilson just launched its latest performance collection, made for the current grass court tennis season.
Wilson Sportswear has released the Beauty & Agony collection, a new grass-specific apparel line that captures the dual nature of the surface. The collection launched June 9 and is now available through Wilson’s website and a few retailers.
The concept
The collection’s name reflects the paradox of grass court tennis: the beauty of immaculate lawns and refined play, paired with the agony of unpredictable bounces and volatile court conditions.
As Wilson describes it: “Driven by the dichotomy of grass, immaculate and unforgiving, a collection to match its refined legacy and volatile nature with tenacious poise.”
The design approach balances elegance with functionality, creating apparel that performs in grass court demands while maintaining top aesthetic standards.
What’s included
The collection is designed for both performance and style with a lot of color shifts.
Men’s: Performance polos, shorts, and lightweight layering pieces in colors suited to grass environments
Women’s: Matching polos, skirts, shorts, and performance tanks across the collection
Materials: Moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabrics with breathable construction for hot, humid grass court conditions
Details: Open knit designs, technical construction, and performance features while maintaining clean, refined aesthetics

The grass court focus
Unlike Wilson’s Clay Series or other surface-specific collections, Beauty & Agony specifically addresses grass court requirements:
- Lightweight, quick-drying materials, also good for unpredictable moisture
- Open knit construction for ventilation in potentially humid conditions
- Refined styling that respects grass court traditions
- Functional design reflecting the movement demands of grass

The June 9 launch aligns perfectly with the grass season, giving players the collection for Queen’s Club (starting June 15) and Halle events (June 15-21), before the Wimbledon Championships.
Wilson’s apparel evolution
The Beauty & Agony collection is just another step for Wilson that is clearly targeting performance apparel more recently. The brand is now increasingly competitive with Nike and Adidas in tennis-specific wear, particularly for players seeking alternatives.
Wilson’s also has more partnerships with athletes like Marta Kostyuk, who wears custom Wilson gear at major tournaments. The company’s “Tennis 360” program (clothing from head to toe) places apparel as a core focus alongside equipment.
