In the second Test against Bangladesh played by the leading Indian T20I side on Tuesday, Yashasvi Jaiswal was the outstanding performer, which led to a massive win for the Rohit Sharma led side. Jaiswal scored a brilliant fifty in each innings as India showcased their batting capabilities in the rain-curtailed contest. These impressive knocks of course helped Jaiswal to rewrite the record book of most runs scored for India by any batsman before turning 23 years old which was previously held by Sunil Gavaskar. The year was 1971 and he was 918 vs now 929 to Jaiswal who still has matches with New Zealand around the corner to increase his runs 921. He also became the second batter in Indian Test cricket to score and get half-centuries in both innings of a Test match with more than a hundred strike rate.
In relation to this, the leader of the team Rohit Sharma explained that there is no batting order as such, and all the players have a free hand in going even to the last match if required.
