Zoey Stark may be gone from WWE, but she’s already making it clear she has no plans to disappear from wrestling as she just revealed her new ring name.
Following her WWE release, Stark took to Twitter and uploaded a training video showing herself back inside the ring while preparing for the next phase of her career. The video featured Stark working through drills and pulling off several impressive moves with Brian Cage as she continued rehabbing from the devastating knee injury that sidelined her last year.
But the biggest takeaway from the video was not just the training footage — it was the fact Stark officially revealed her new post-WWE identity. Going forward, she will now wrestle under the name “The Purist” Zoey Serrano. Alongside the footage, Serrano also sent a direct message to anyone doubting what comes next once she becomes a free agent on July 24, 2026.
“This ring—this is my home. This is what I love to do. When I was a kid, this was my escape through any type of hardship. So if I’m good now, imagine what I’ll be like when my 90 days are over.”
This comes only weeks after Sean Ross Sapp confirmed through Fightful Select that Stark had officially been released by WWE as part of the company’s latest roster cuts. Her departure surprised many fans because Stark had been actively working toward an in-ring return after suffering a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during the May 19 episode of WWE Raw. At one point during rehab, Stark revealed doctors warned she might require additional medical procedures if her recovery stalled.
“In the last video, one of the reasons why I was having a hard time was because I was told that either I would have to get a scope done… or to get a manipulation under anesthesia. But now we’re back on track. That did not have to happen. Thank God. Now I’m running, I’m jumping, I have full range of motions. Things are going great.”
At this point, no official landing spot has emerged for Zoey Serrano once her non-compete expires. But based on the video she released, she’s clearly positioning herself for a major comeback once she’s legally able to compete again.
