Booker T Says Brock Lesnar Is Still Huge For WWE But Oba Femi Needs A Real Ending

Booker T isn’t mad that Brock Lesnar beat Oba Femi, but he made it clear that WWE now has to finish the story the right way.

During Hall of Fame, Booker T and Brad Gilmore discussed Brock Lesnar defeating Oba Femi at Clash in Italy. Booker admitted he originally saw Oba as someone who could have gone untouched for a long time. Booker said that kind of run might have happened if Brock Lesnar wasn’t involved. Still, he wasn’t against the decision because Brock is not just anybody.

“I thought Oba Femi could have been one of these guys that could have had a year straight run undefeated.”

“Brock Lesnar is still viable to anybody’s wrestling company in a huge way.”

Booker explained that from a promoter’s point of view, Brock still brings massive value. That is why he didn’t react to Oba’s loss the same way he might have if someone else had beaten him.

“I’m really not minding it as much as I perhaps would would have, you know, if it would have been anybody else that would have beat Ober Femi.”

Booker still believes Oba can bounce back from the loss and keep moving toward becoming a major player. The bigger issue for Booker is that WWE now has to give the Brock vs. Oba story a clear finish. Booker suggested that SummerSlam could be the right place for the third match, especially with Brock possibly going out in his home area. Booker said that would make sense if WWE wanted to give Lesnar a strong final moment.

“Oba Femi can come back and beat Brock Lesnar and, you know, and still go on a hell of a run and still be that same guy that we’re we’re talking about.”

“It’s going to have to be some kind of definitive end between these guys some somewhere sometime somehow.”

“If it does happen at at SummerSlam would definitely be a great swan song to actually go out at in your hometown, you know, in front of all your people, family, whatnot.”

Booker said that Brock putting Oba over in that kind of setting would be a strong way to pass the torch.

“Looking up at the lights, you know, and passing the torch, you know, to someone like Ober, that that would be a great ending for me.”

Booker then questioned what is even left for Brock after this Oba Femi feud. Brad said Oba is the biggest and best thing Brock can do right now, and Booker pointed out that Lesnar has already worked with most of the top names he needed to face.

“What does Brock career go after Obami?”

“He’s worked with everybody on the roster that he should have worked.”

Booker floated names like Drew McIntyre and Gunther, but he wasn’t sold on either direction. His main point was that Brock vs. Oba feels like the right program at the right time, but it needs a real payoff.

Brock Lesnar beating Oba Femi may have shocked some fans, but Booker T sees the bigger picture. Brock is still a monster name, Oba can still be the future, and SummerSlam could be the perfect place for WWE to give this story the final chapter it needs.
