Jade Cargill Attacks New Foe After Clash In Italy Loss » TWNP-Wrestling News

The heat is on as WWE heads into its Summer Tour 2026. One of the key talents on the tour’s promotional materials is none other than Jade Cargill. The Storm of WWE has had a busy month since losing the Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 Sunday. Jade would pick up the win for her team, pinning Ripley at Saturday Night’s Main Event in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match. Last night, the two powerhouses clashed in a WrestleMania rematch with The Eradicator retaining the Championship. After Clash in Italy, Jade Cargill attacks her next opponent, setting up a potential Night of Champions showdown.

Rhea Ripley Retains WWE Women’s Title At Clash In Italy

The first-ever WWE PLE in Italy is officially in the books. Clash in Italy kicked off with Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther and Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley on ESPN. As we were the first to report, Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi was the first match on the streaming app, which you can see here.

The ESPN cable portion of the show concluded with Rhea Ripley defending the Women’s Title against Jade Cargill. Both competitors had a back-and-forth match at first. However, Jade started to get her hopes when she was able to reverse a Riptide into a DDT. So, The Storm of WWE was naturally upset when the incumbent Champion kicked out.

This shocking turn of events caused Michin and B-Fab to come down the aisle. Their presence distracted Rhea Ripley, setting the former Judgment Day member up for a Pump Kick by her Challenger. The crafty Ripley was ready, though, turning the attempt into a successful Riptide.

With the tide shifting in Ripley’s favor, the Riptide master went for the pin. B-Fab flubbed putting Jade’s foot on the ropes, so the Challenger did it herself. Nonetheless, the referee ejected Je’Von Evans’ cousin from ringside.

Charlotte Flair Helps Rhea Ripley Retain the Women’s Championship

Jade Cargill’s Baddies were in no rush to leave ringside. So, Rhea Ripley’s frenemy, Charlotte Flair, came to even the odds. The Queen leveled Michin and B-Fab with a Flying Crossbody!

During the melee, Jade Cargill dropped Rhea Ripley with a Jaded. However, Charlotte pulled a B-Fab (but successfully). The 14-time Women’s Champion put Rhea’s foot on the ropes to break the count. This interference would prove detrimental for Jade Cargill’s clan.

Rhea Ripley would turn the tide back in her favor with a vicious Headbutt. Mami then cinched Jade Cargill up for a Riptide to retain the Title.

Jade Cargill Attacks Charlotte Flair After Clash In Italy

While the walls seem to be up slightly between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley, Clash in Italy went a long way in healing those old wounds. While making nice with Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair ended up making things bad with The Baddies.

Cathy Kelley caught up with Charlotte Flair as the Friend of Convenience was getting ready to leave the building. The backstage announcer asked whether an alliance is brewing between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley.

Ric Flair’s daughter downplayed that there were ever any problems. Charlotte insisted things were always fine with Rhea. Just as she says those words, Jade Cargill attacks Charlotte with a vicious blow into the staging equipment. B-Fab and Michin joined their leader in putting the boots to Charlotte Flair. However, WWE producers were quickly on the scene to break things up. As Jade and company retreated, a fallen Flair yelled for them to come back for more.

Future Charlotte Flair Plans

It’s pretty obvious that after Jade Cargill attacked Charlotte Flair, this will be The Storm of WWE’s next opponent. The question is, when will this showdown happen?

WWE Creative is contemplating two scenarios at the moment. In the shorter term, Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill could compete at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on June 27, 2026.

With this card just being a few weeks away, it might feel a bit rushed. After all, Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair have had staredowns on SmackDown in 2023 and 2025. So, the seeds of a Jade and Charlotte rivalry have long been sown. Therefore, WWE might hold off on pulling the trigger on a Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill showdown at SummerSlam.

This is the likely scenario at the moment, as WWE wants to let Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley perculote. Originally, this match was lightly penciled in for SummerSlam. However, some Creative team members (and allegedly, Charlotte Flair) have pitched prolonging Flair vs. Ripley until WrestleMania.

Currently, Charlotte and Rhea are 1-and-1 against each other in WrestleMania matches. Charlotte won the NXT Women’s Championship from a young Ripley at Wrestlemania 36. Rhea Ripley would return the favor by defeating Charlotte for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39. It makes sense as to why The Queen would pitch Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair III at WrestleMania 43.
