Hooded Horse and Firesquid’s annual Steam-based digital event TactiCon is returning for its fifth consecutive year next month, bringing deep discounts, reveals and more in the strategy space.
TactiCon 2026 will run from July 9-13, 2026 and joining this year’s event is genre heavyweight Creative Assembly alongside other strategy game specialists for reveals and updates, including Firesquid, Hooded Horse, and Rami Ismail, who will bring his bullet hell tower defence game, Australia Did It.
As ever, there will be heavy discounts on all sorts of strategy titles across Steam, giving you plenty of tactical choices for your wallet.
TactiCon 2026 is All About the Tactics
Tactics is the focus of this year’s edition, and TactiCon 2026 features the best games that challenge players through combat or tactical reasoning.
From discounts on the most exciting releases of the past 12 months to sneak peeks of top-tier upcoming tactical games of 2026, there’s something for everyone during the week-long event.
Hooded Horse is responsible for publishing all manner of strategy gems, including Manor Lords, Against the Storm, Whiskerwood, Norland, 9 Kings, and He is Coming. Its upcoming projects include pirate colony sim Corsair Cove and Architect of Ruin.
Firesquid have been behind titles such as tactical turn-based survival horror Vultures – Scavengers of Death, city builder City Tales: Medieval Era, and roguelite RTS Xenopurge.
