China’s League of Legends Pro League operator TJ Sports has fined Bilibili Gaming (BLG) player Chen “Bin” Zebin ¥150,000 RMB ($22,160 USD) and issued a public reprimand after determining that he failed to complete a mandatory fan-interaction obligation during an LPL match day on June 3.
According to TJ Sports’ announcement, Bin did not participate in the post-match stage walkout, during which players are expected to high-five fans in a designated audience interaction area. The league described the activity as a standard professional obligation for LPL players.
TJ Sports said the conduct violated Article 12.2.2 of the League of Legends Professional League Competition Rules. In its notice, the league operator said the incident ran counter to the professional standards expected of LPL players, disrupted the standardized operation of match-day proceedings, and hurt the audience experience around the event.
Bilibili Gaming was also fined ¥50,000 ($7,386) and issued a public reprimand. TJ Sports said the organization’s pre-match management was inadequate and that BLG failed to properly fulfill its supervisory responsibilities.
The disciplinary action underscores how China’s top League of Legends competition continues to treat live-event presentation and fan engagement as part of a club’s professional obligations, not merely as optional promotional activity.
TJ Sports said it will continue enforcing professional standards across the LPL ecosystem to protect the integrity and competitive atmosphere of the league.
